One of the most common use of dowsing by dowsers, is to find something that has been lost or misplaced, from a dowsers point of view looking for their own personal equipment is usually a fairly straight forward task to accomplish because either the location of the missing item is buried deep within our own memories and dowsing just tease’s out the answer, it can become challenging when someone else has moved or lost your personal property but again relatively straight forward, but when our resident author and dowsing activist Michael Hexeltine was contacted with a request, dowsing accuracy took on a whole new meaning. Below is a ‘thank you’ article written by an interested in dowsing member of the public:
MY FIRST EXPERIENCE OF DOWSING
My initial job when I returned from holiday was to start the car. I went to get the car
keys – not there! Of course I had hidden them away, but unfortunately I could not
remember where. Started to look, firstly in the places where I had hidden them before,
but I knew I had decided to put them in a new hiding place, but still did not know
where. I started by glancing everywhere, followed by methodical hunting, emptying
cupboards and drawers room by room. This went on for 8 days, each day and night the
same searching, they were definitely in the house, but I had no idea where.
A friend suggested I contacted the Dowsing Association, ‘but surely that is to find
water’, ‘no she said articles can be found too’. So with a lot of help from Google I
contacted Michael Haxeltine of Waverley Dowsing Association. Michael assured me
that he would do his best to help and asked me to email a sketch of the floor plan of my
house. This I did and the next morning received it back with one main line across the
center of the floor plan, other lines crossing and STRONG written in the bathroom. Spoke
to Michael later that day who asked ‘had I checked the bathroom?’. Yes I said have
done it so many times, they could not be where the lines go through, nowhere to hide
them’.
I started my search again everywhere that the line went and yes there were keys, but
not the keys I was looking for. So back to the bathroom and emptying the 2 small
cupboards again. I decided whilst I was doing this to remove batteries from electrical
equipment in the soap bags and there underneath the equipment was my keys!.
WELL DONE MICHAEL THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
